Scale without breaking
Scaling & Re-architecture for Growing Products
Scaling work is for products whose early technical choices have become the bottleneck: slow pages, failing jobs, a database that cannot take another index, hosting that costs more every month. Kiwimesh audits the system, fixes the highest-impact constraints first, and re-architects in phases so the product keeps running while it changes.
“Our software worked for 100 users. It's falling apart at 10,000.”
For companies whose early tech choices are now their biggest bottleneck. We rebuild or re-architect systems that can handle what's coming — without burning down what's already working.
What this covers
- •System audits and architecture review
- •Architecture modernization
- •Performance and load handling
- •Database restructuring and query performance
- •Cloud migration and infrastructure hardening
Best for
Mid-market companies, scaling SaaS, ops-heavy businesses
Typical engagement
6–16 weeks architecture + ongoing execution
How it works
What happens, in order.
01
Measure before touching
Load profiles, slow-query logs, error rates, and infrastructure cost. We find the two or three constraints that account for most of the pain and rank them.
02
Quick wins in the first sprint
Indexes, caching, query rewrites, background jobs, connection pooling. Usually a visible improvement within two weeks and no architectural risk.
03
Phased re-architecture
Extract the parts that need to scale independently, migrate data with zero downtime, and harden infrastructure. Each phase ships behind the running product.
04
Prove it
Load tests against the target numbers, dashboards your team keeps, and a runbook for the next order of magnitude.
What you get
Deliverables you can hold us to.
- Performance audit with measured baselines and ranked constraints
- Database restructuring, indexing, and query performance work
- Zero-downtime cloud or infrastructure migration where needed
- Phased target architecture with rollout plan
- Load-test results against agreed targets
- Monitoring dashboards and an operations runbook
Questions
What people ask before they book a call.
Can you do this without downtime?
Yes. We migrated a live US HR SaaS to AWS without a minute of downtime by running old and new in parallel and cutting over with verified data sync. The same approach applies to database and service migrations.
Do we need to move to microservices?
Usually not. Most products at this stage need a well-structured monolith with a few extracted services for the parts that scale differently. We recommend services only where the operational cost is justified by the load profile.
How do you price scaling work?
The audit is a fixed fee. Each re-architecture phase is quoted fixed-price once the audit tells us what is involved. Ongoing execution can continue with a forward-deployed team if you prefer.
Will our existing team be involved?
Ideally yes. We work in your repositories with your engineers, pair on the changes, and leave them with the dashboards and runbooks. The goal is that they can run the next scaling step without us.
